What Is The Difference Between Safe Journey & Journey Mercy?

You know whenever someone is traveling, people would always say “Safe Journey” or “Journey Mercy”.

So I’m confused. What’s the difference between the two expressions.

On my way to Portharcourt today, I met someone I know and after exchanging pleasantries, he said “Safe Journey Bro“.

Then on my way going back to base, the person I visited told me “Journey Mercy“.

I was literally laughing.🤣

So guys what’s the difference?
